The Climate Change Readiness for Community Services project provides community services in the Perth metro area with free energy audits and funding to implement some of the recommendations coming from the audits. In this Australian government funded project, job seekers have been selected from people living in the southern coastal suburbs of Perth and trained to go into community organisations to assess their energy and water use, and find ways to help them reduce their use so that they can save money. The auditors write a comprehensive report for the organisation which helps them plan for further improvements to their sustainability. The funding available for retrofits is limited and is on a first come first serve basis, so get your application in soon to avoid missing out on this funding.
